Dear gun. Fear gun.

30 March 2007
New Zealand - "A 9-year-old boy shot his sister in the chest with an air rifle. Police said he should not have had access to a gun." Isn't that a little bit like 'stating the obvious?' I wonder what the parents are feeling now.

The irony here is that the gun that you've 'trusted' to protect you, could be the very gun that turns against you.

After the past Columbine High School incident in the U.S. (15 dead, including the two gunmen), I think it's pretty clear what damage gun is capable of.

However, with the U.S. Virginia Tech Campus Shooting two days ago (33 dead, including the gunman, Cho Seung Hui, a South Korean native), it's pretty clear that no one has learnt from the past mistakes. Seriously, having guns around is just not funny anymore.

And I'm totally disgusted at how easy it is own a gun these days. *Sigh. My fear is that there'll be more to come.

Does it look like anyone will relook into the gun ownership issue? From the looks of it so far? I say unlikely.

When do you dig for gold?

Ahh... more than a week since I last posted.
Something unexpected happened yesterday.
And it calls for a post.
So, here goes:

Woke up at 6:45am...
Dressed in my Sunday best,
I went to church.

After singing beautiful praise songs,
We turned around to greet each other.

After warm smiles and firm handshakes,
We resume to worship our Almighty God.

Ohh... how awesome... er... HUH! What's that?
Someone's soft & gooey booger ball got stuck on my hand! ARGGHHH!
(Booger ball = nose shit rolled up in a ball)

Oh goodness me.
Now, I have a bit of phobia shaking hands.
Folks, please reserve the 'gold digging' activity in TOILETS!

The next time, you're angry, mop the floor.

I guess maybe that's what the criminal court in New York believes in, that mopping the floor helps distract angry people.

Naomi Campbell, 36, one of the world's most famous supermodels was sentenced to mop floors at New York's Sanitation Department for hitting her maid Ana Scolavino (she started mopping on 19 March 2007).

Campbell blames her temper on a lingering resentment toward her father for abandoning her as a child.

Poor thing. Just don't break the mop.

Anyway, glad Friday's here. *Yawn. Can't wait to sleep late tomorrow. *HAPPY.

Get upgraded to first class for FREE!

All you have to do is just die on the plane.

LONDON (AP) — A first-class passenger on a flight from Delhi to London awoke find the corpse of a woman who had died in the economy cabin being placed in a seat next to him, British Airways said Monday.

The economy section of the flight was full, and the cabin crew needed to move the woman and her grieving family out of that compartment to give them some privacy, the airline said.

The first-class passenger, Paul Trinder, told the Sunday Times newspaper that he was sleeping during a February flight from India and woke up when the crew placed the dead woman in an empty seat near him.

"I didn't have a clue what was going on. The stewards just plonked the body down without saying a thing. I remember looking at this frail, sparrow-like woman and thinking she was very ill," the newspaper quoted Trinder as saying. "When I asked what was going on, I was shocked to hear she was dead."

British Airways said in a statement that about 10 passengers die each year in flight and that while each situation is dealt with on an individual basis, safety is paramount.

Poor thing. Imagine paying so much to sit in first class, only to find yourself being stuck with a decaying body for more than 5 hours. Sigh... I think I'll stick to economy class lah. Go AirAsia!

Anyway, if you still insist on travelling first class, try Singapore Airlines. They have 'corpse cupboards' on their planes. Anyone knows if MAS have this kind of 'similar facilities'?
